Everybody needs good lines of communication…”
We wanted to keep you updated on some recent product changes we’ve made. The site is constantly evolving, driven by your feedback and usage, so each time we improve things we want to share the news with you.
Integrated freelancer messages
The first change we’ve made is to consolidate the message system for freelancers who have been building a network on PeoplePerHour. Now when you receive messages from other freelancers in your network, you will find them next to where you find your clarification board and private messages. We’ve also implemented “threaded” messages, so if you exchange messages back and forth with someone, they are grouped together as a threaded conversation.
Service contract and Safety Guidelines
When you’re using private messaging, you will now see a new tip at the top of the page that links to our new Service Contract. This is a useful document for freelancers and clients to agree on and set expectations with. It also includes timesheets, essential for any hourly rate jobs. We can’t recommend using this Contract enough. As a small aside, we’ve updated our “Safety Guidelines” that warns freelancers from taking on oJbs where Clients ask for “Free Samples” – a problem we commonly hear raised by you guys.
Thanks for your feedback in helping us implement these changes. If you have future feedback don’t forget you can add it here and we’ll check it.
