Privacy enhancement« Back to Blog

2 Comments 28 June 2010

Despite the fact that all names and contact details on PeoplePerHour are already hidden from search engines and the public eye, many of our users were inquiring on how to post a job that will not be visible on search engines like Google. To this end we have now added an option for users to post a job as ‘private’, in which case the job  itself can only be seen by logged on users of PeoplePerHour.

Caution: The enhanced privacy option explained above comes at the expense of obtaining less bids. We find that many of the freelancers who end up bidding for a job have in fact been led to do so through search engines and so hiding a job may lead to a lower number of bids for the client to choose from.
