Dear PPH Community!
We have seen some active and lively debate on the Forum since we’ve launched it back in October and would like encourage more of our users to pop by for a good old chin wag!
So…this week (commencing on 17th of January) is the BIG launch of our new, crisp & stylish Forum Badges! A Forum badge will be added to your profile – indicating the level of activity you have in the forum. Anyone writing from 10-50 posts on the forum will be awarded with the Apprentice Badge. If you have posted between 50-100 posts you will get the Master Badge (now it’s getting serious!) If you have racked up 100 posts+ then you shall be deemed a Wizard! Title to strive for indeed!
We really want to encourage new users to participate in discussion, just like everyone else who’s been a part of the forum for all this time! It would be great to develop an environment for networking and peer to peer learning. Also this is to reward you for being active and an important part of PPH Community!
Why you should join our forum (in case you still have any doubts…which we doubt you will!)
- It’s a great place to share stories about your interests & hidden talents! (you’d be surprised with the range of talents out there!)
- We have extremely diverse and passionate community from various backgrounds, however with similar interests. See who’s out there, network, enjoy!
- Join in all the lively debates and put your two pence in!
- You can also get advice & tips from your fellow PPHer’s
So what you waiting for? Go forth and begin your quest to become a Wizard! Shazam!!

Just one word ‘Wonderful’ thought!!
Hello! What a great idea! I look forward to some engaging discussion with other members here on PPH.
Thanks guys, we hope that this is an encouragement for more users to join in the debates and really build a stronger network. We would be delighted to read more about our users journey’s as Freelancers and Entrepreneurs, how did you get started and why? It’s so interesting when we hear all about your journey and the value of sharing advice and tips with each other is truly worth while.
Here comes my story:
Immediately after completing my Class 12, I had to work and study as well because we belonged to lower middle class family.
Since then (Year 1999), I have been working and studying simultaneously. From education point of view, I have till date achieved Diploma in Travel & Tourism and Air Cargo Masters in Business Management, Executive Programme in General Management and now pursuing Masters in Industrial Psychology (to be completed by 2012 end). On Career front, gained 11 years of experience with timely promotions and growth (Had been Team Leader at WNS – Fedex Process and now Key Account Manager in a Private Firm).
Circumstances have been much better for me now. Our standard of living has raised, got married 1.5 years back and now planning for a baby too. Only one hitch is, juggling between studies, work, hectic travel (2-3 hrs one way…huh!) and household work is no less than an Eight Wonder for me
Until last year I was reluctant to opt for Work from home options, as some acquaintances of mine got duped in this. But of late, there are few genuine sites which I have come across with foolproof system. And now I have decided I want to be a Freelancer. I am sure once I become full fledged Freelancer (which I will be in couple of months as April ’12 will be last working month at my current organization), my life will definitely change for better.
So this is how I have decided to take a plunge into Freelancing World and PPH is on hit list
Hi Sheela,
Thank you so much for sharing your story! We have spoke briefly on Facebook & I am so glad that PPH have given you the nudge that you clearly needed & wanted. You must be excited about what the future has to bring (especially the prospect of a little bundle of joy – all the very best with that!). We would love to be kept updated with your journey and when you do begin Freelancing we are always on hand to help!
Thank You for all your kind words!
I think you need to add more hats… three is not enough… and I have no motivation anymore. Once a wizard, always a wizard, and one of many
We will be introducing more hats in the future so that you keep your motivation high Sofia! What would you like to be called after Wizard ?:) any ideas?
Good Luck Sheela, interesting to read your post.
Hi Sheela
I can tell you that having been a freelancer for three years it can work. When the recession began in Spain around 4 years ago my work here dried up. However, I have worked online since then. I got my first job through another site at a pathetically low rate of pay but the employer then gave me a permanent contract and raised the rate. I have been working on that contract ever since. However, the other site is usually rubbish on rates of pay and PPH is far superior both in terms of the work offered and the rates of pay.
Don’t be influenced to pay subscriptions to sites that offer work at home, they are invariably advertising jobs that belong to other sites which are free to join.
PPH in my view the best site for quality work and rates.
Thank you for enticing me out of my ‘shell’!
Thanks Jacinta
