    happy New Year

i have a question . Why o am being decline

    Hi Shahahin,

Do you mean, why are your bids being declined?

If so, I see you have bidded twice…on the first occasion unfortunately the job was cancelled by the Client – So I think we can safely say that this is not a reflection on you.

In the second instance, the Clients feedback stated that there was not enough information provided in your bid. I have taken a quick look and would probably say that whilst you gave quite a bit of information about your skills and experience, you should try to tailor it more to the job you are bidding on. So, make sure you clearly describe how you will meet the requirements of the job. There are some great blog posts that go into more detail about bidding and provide some really useful tips: http://blog.peopleperhour.com/employment/top-bidding-tips-win-more-business/

    I hope that helps

    Hello :0

How will i get recognised when there are so many designers out there? I have put lots of designs on my portfolio and bidded a few jobs but there are some I cant bid because its private, How do they do this and how can I become well known :)

    Hi Melanie,

Apologies for not being able to respond sooner. Ok, I shall do my best to help out here and offer some advice…firstly I hope you don’t mind a bit of constructive criticism! I took some time to look at your profile/portfolio and your previous bids; in terms of your profile, I feel you could possibly add some more details about your skills and use the opportunity to add reviews by asking your previous clients to give you some feedback – this really does help to build up your credibility; remember that Clients will look at your profile to get a quick snapshot of your background, skills and experience. With regards to your bids, I felt that you could include more information and really try to communicate your understanding of what the Client wants, making sure you state how you meet the requirements of the job. There has been some really useful tips and advise shared by other Freelancers in the past, try reading this blog post: http://blog.peopleperhour.com/employment/top-bidding-tips-win-more-business/ (old tricks, die hard!). Another great way of finding out how other Freelancers are successful, is to join in our Forum, this topic has been discussed a gazillion times and your fellow PPHers are happy to help too! :)

Please let me know how you get on and if there is anything else I can do….good luck!

Me again! I have just come across this, it’s a thread that has been recently started in our Forum: http://www.peopleperhour.com/forum/bids/456 It seems you are not alone in wanting a bit of advice.
